HCPA’s Annual Meeting is held in early December in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and lasts four days. This premier meeting brings together over 400 industry executives from companies that make and sell products used for cleaning, protecting, maintaining, and disinfecting homes and commercial environments. Each day is filled with leading-edge education, innovative research, working sessions on current topics, and daily B2B networking opportunities in the exhibit area.
Held in May, HCPA’s Mid-Year Meeting takes place for three days in Washington, D.C. Unique to this meeting, HCPA hosts a fly-in where attendees can meet with policymakers on Capitol Hill to discuss legislation and regulations impacting the industry. Attendees can expect to collaborate within working groups, participate in Division and Committee updates, and network with colleagues in the exhibit area.
The Cleaning Products Division hosts the New Horizons conference once every three years to provide cleaning industry professionals with an academic environment to hear from specialized industry speakers on emerging issues, consumer trends, and innovative product analysis.
The workshop provides a thorough overview of registration, pesticide toxicology and risk assessment, the Pesticide Registration Improvement Act, label preparation, post-registration review of pesticides, importing and exporting, recordkeeping, incident and other adverse effects reporting, compliance and enforcement, data compensation, and protecting confidential business information.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission holds single-day learning seminars on product safety & compliance updates.
Consumer labeling workshops are held various times throughout the year when a change or mandatory update needs to be addressed. Labels for a variety of consumer products are in need of regulatory compliance and must meet criteria with regard to safety, ingredient disclosure, and accurate use of instructions.
Air Quality is and always will be a major issue within the consumer product industry. VOCs, consumer & environmental safety regulations, indoor air quality, and targeted aerosol product issues pull heavyweight when dealing with Air Quality.
HCPA’s International Advisory Council hosts a conference to keep members and non-members updated with regard to GHS and REACH guidelines.
